Today I focus on the Heart Chakra which is about acceptance and the inner child.
Little did I know, stepping into my spiritual journey also meant healing my inner child. The more I stepped into my spiritual journey, the more I needed to find balance in all areas of my life.
I never grew up with my brother but the more I started to accept myself, the more he was able to see himself in me and accept himself also. He suggested that I read this book called “Reconciliation: Healing the Inner Child” by Thich Nhat Hanh.
There is a chapter called “Three Sentences For Reconciliation” which I have quoted above. The instructions are to repeat these sentences when you find yourself angry at someone.
The key is not to deny your anger but to accept it fully. Admit that you are angry so that changes can be made. Change can only happen when we fully accept where we are at the moment. Sometimes all it needs is to be seen and acknowledged, like our inner child.
